Polyamines and Agrobiotechnology for Resilient Crops
Polyamines are small, positively charged organic molecules essential for the growth and development of all living organisms. In plants, they regulate fundamental cellular processes and play a pivotal role in responses to environmental stresses and diseases.
Our research explores the molecular mechanisms through which polyamines contribute to plant growth, productivity, and resilience. By identifying these key pathways, we aim to harness polyamines as natural allies in crop improvement and protection.
In parallel, our group develops innovative microbial-based biostimulants and biocontrol solutions, integrating microbial biology with applied agrobiotechnology. Through this combined approach, we seek to deliver sustainable strategies that enhance yield and strengthen crops against both abiotic and biotic stresses, bridging fundamental research with real-world agricultural solutions.
